Rotary Drum Screen
SCREENING EQUIPMENT
In the fertilizer production process, the screening mainly includes raw materials screening and the finished products screening.
Screening of raw materials:
Before the raw material enters the granulation system, due to the big particle size difference, it will have a greater impact on the granulation rate and homogenization degree. Thus, in the production process, the raw material should first be pre-treated, such as screening, crushing and so on.
Screening of finished products:
The semi-finished fertilizer after granulation, drying and cooling can not be directly packed. One reason is that the particle size of the different granulation equipment itself has a certain difference. The other reason is that the granulated product will have different degrees of damage during the drying and cooling process. So the semi-finished fertilizer size is very uneven, not meet the finished fertilizer particle size requirements (generally 1-5mm). In addition, some fertilizer production enterprises further divide the finished fertilizer size, which process must be achieved by screening.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Rotary screen is one of the most commonly used screening equipment in fertilizer production line.
The rotaty screen is composed of a rotating screen cylinder body, a transmission device, and a supporting part.
The rotary screen working principle is that the screen central shaft is driven by the motor reducer, so that the screen surface does a constant speed rotating circular motion. The fertilizer in the cylinder falls down and rolls along the wall due to centrifugal force and gravity, and then is lifted. As the material is screened, it is gradually moved from the feeding end to the discharging end along the inclined plane and collected separately.
